The Philadelphia Flyers are now 2-0-1 after winning their season home opener 4-2 against the Colorado Avalanche.Claude Giroux scored his second short handed goal of the year, Jeff Carter notched his first two goals as well, Mike Richards had two assists and Darrol Powe scored the empty netter goal.
